What is Radio Electra? Radio Electra FM is a theme camp and broadcasting station that participates at the Burning Man Festival every year since their launch in 2000.
Electra FM is community based radio with a staff of DJ's that play music from all parts of the globe and all genres-as well as a unique blend of music, news, weather, commentary and public service announcements for event attendees.
What is Burners With Out Borders? “Burners Without Borders (BWB) coalesced from a spontaneous, collective instinct to meet gaping needs where existing societal systems were clearly failing..” *
BWB is a subsidiary organization of Black Rock Arts Foundation-the non profit wing of Burning Man. They have used there organizational skills and playa expertise to help with such disasters as Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Peru’s 8.0 Earthquake in 2007 and projects like complete wood reclamation from Black Rock City for Reno low Income housing.
